Peanut Butter Energy Balls
So after the success I had with my homemade oat milk recipe, I wanted to see what else could be done with ground oats.
If you’ve ever had a “Bounce Ball”, then you’ll see that this is what I was attempting to recreate. Almost a cookie dough like texture but with none of the artificial sugars or sweeteners present.
This recipe cost me £1.23 to make 12 servings and took me only 15 minutes to make with the supermarket equivalent coming in at £1.69 a serving.
I’d love to hear what optionals you would add to this recipe, otherwise I hope you enjoy this one right here.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup oats
2/3 cup peanut butter
1tsp vanilla extract
2 teaspoons melted coconut oil
2 teaspoons coconut sugar
Optionals:
Chia seeds
Flax seeds
Sub oats for almond flour
Sub coconut sugar agave/honey/maple
Psyllium husk
Method:
- Add oats to blender and blend until a fine powder
- Add in peanut butter, vanilla extract, coconut oil and sugar and mix on high speed until combined
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into little balls- FYI I got 10 out of these measurements
- Store in airtight container and jobs a good’n
As always, peace to the planet and peace to your pockets.
Love always, The Humble Avocado x x
Oh I feel I’m going to sound overly nerdy here… So I love gaming and the elder scrolls video game series is one of my favourites. So much so I got a cook book that tries to recreate the food from the game. Anyway one of these is called a Honey Nut Treat and the recipe is very similar to these except instead of vanilla its finely chopped raisins, dates & cinnamon.
Anyway would highly recommend as these are super filling and easy to make!

You’re absolutely right….. you do sound overly nerdy here 🤓🤪….. the chopped raisins, dates and cinnamon sounds like a winning combination. I must try this next time!
Ps. I’m currently playing Plants vs Zombies, plant power 💪🏼 🌱

I love these. I haven’t made them in some time, so I can’t wait to get back on track with more healthy snacks.
